Uprising Forum Features

Since we've added a bunch of special features to the forum, here's a little help on how to use those features:

• Aion Armory Implementation

You can easily link Aion Items [Elite Guardian Squad Leader's Sword] and Spells [Healing Light V] using BBCode and the Aion Armory!

There are two methods of doing this. You will either need the exact name of the item/spell, or the ID of it. The ID is always part of the URL at Aion Armory:


Now all you need to do is to wrap the ID or name of the item/spell into BBTags like this:

The ImageShack Toolbar will make your life alot easier when posting screenshots! It's implemented into the bottom right of the post-reply interface.



After selecting a file and clicking on "host it!", a new tab will open. The page will be white while uploading, just be patient - duration always depends on the size of the image. After the upload is done, you'll see a page like this:



Copy the direct-link (red-marked) and wrap the URL into BBCode like this:

Images that are bigger than the post-area will automatically be resized and converted into a lightbox-object. On click, it will open the image in full size, you don't have to worry about any of that though - it's all being taken care of by the magic in the background!

Using attachments is another way of adding images to your posts. The difference being, that it will resize the images to thumbnails that on click will open the source file. Adding attachments can be done via the Upload attachment tab below the text-box:



Just browse for a file, add a comment if you like (not required) and hit "Add the file". Done! The attachment will now be added to the end of your post.

If you want to insert the attachment inside of the text like this...

Inline Attachment

... you gotta click on "Place inline" after attaching.

Inline-placed attachments will not be added to the end of the post.

To embed a YouTube Video, you will need the ID (much like with the Aion Armory) of the video, which is the last part of the URL:


However, if you browsed through related videos, the ID will look like this and you need to copy the yellow part like here:


Once you've got the ID, you need to wrap it into BBCode.

The Videos will atomatically be adjusted to fit the forums. The cool thing is, that you can even fullscreen everything, unlike the normally embedded YouTube videos!

Is there a way so we can link recipes with the item?

The Aionarmory feature currently only supports linking items/spells. :/ I have a feeling that there is enough demand that they'll add it some time in the future, though.

For now, you can link to the design item associated with the item:
[Design: Balaur Lord's Shield]
And from that item page, you can click on the "Teaches" tab for a list of items needed for the craft.
